Provenance
TERAVARNA’s 14th Animal competition prohibits AI-generated content at every stage — elements, compositions, textures, and upscaling. Fiurdelin’s entry was reviewed and passed under that condition as a hand-drawn digital illustration made from a specimen.

Every plate begins with a specimen — a plant, a fungus, an insect — studied and drawn by hand on a large-format tablet, with no filters, stock references, or generated imagery. The catalogue currently runs to 53 published plates. The work has been selected for nine international juried exhibitions in 2026, three of them with a placing, and is the subject of The Living Canvas, a 462-page book on the studio’s method. Fiurdelin is a member of the Association of Botanical Artists. The work is sold as fine-art prints and as digital plates.”
