The stag beetle I drew came off a Lombardy oak, mandibles first, and I worked at the scale a naturalist would have pinned it. Hung close, the plates read as a study collection rather than a row of prints.
The collection, plate by plate
Each plate is an original entomological study, drawn from the specimen in the manner of an old natural-history plate: swallowtail, stag beetle, emperor moth. Here is the collection in full. Each links through to its print in the botanical.art print shop.
How it arrives
Three sizes for orientation. Most plates run to 107 × 152 cm (about 42 × 60 in) on paper, with canvas, framing and mat options specified per wall in the print shop.

Hanging the cabinet grid
Hang the plates as a tight grid with 5 cm gutters, the way a specimen cabinet reads. Treat the grid as one piece, centred 145 cm from the floor.
