A mountain wall that isn’t a cliché

I drew the rare Rosalia alpina and its fungi from the treeline itself. The wall reads as considered natural history, not generic mountain posters.

Placement

Hanging the plates on a lodge wall

Hang the plates as one block, centred 145 cm from the floor. Above seating, keep the group to about two thirds of the sofa width, with 25 to 30 cm over the back.

What art suits a mountain lodge?

Studies of alpine species read as rustic and considered without tipping into cliché. They range from the Rosalia alpina beetle to the porcini and juniper of the forest floor.

What makes the Rosalia alpina special?

It is the rarest species in the collection, a protected alpine beetle drawn from the specimen. For the exhibition history of a specific plate, ask us and we will share it.

What sizes work over a mantel or stairwell?

A feature wall usually takes a 36 by 51 cm or 71 by 102 cm print. Smaller A2 pieces suit a corridor or a single guest room. We size each wall in the proposal.

How are they framed and delivered?

Every piece is an archival giclée from the botanical.art print shop, on paper or canvas. Frames come in wood or metal, or the print ships unframed, worldwide.
